Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an existing device to be used with no trouble by greatly decreasing a dust content of exhaust gases in the device for reducing the exhaust gases of a steam generator. SOLUTION: A front wall 7 and a rear wall 8 of a steam generator are provided on a gas deflection part from a vertical gas pass 4 having downward flow to a vertical gas pass 5 having upward flow so that a dust content is decreased before exhaust gases 18 enter into a convection radiation part 3 of the steam generator. An outer wall 12 has a known gastight tube-web-tube construction, and an inner wall 14 consists of tubes arranged in such a way that once-through flow can occur in each of intermediate spaces between the tubes, wherein a flow-stabilized zone 17 is defined by the outer wall 12 and the inner wall 14, and the inner wall 14 and the outer wall 12 are cooled by cooling media flowing once-through the tubes.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep the temperature of gas upstream of a catalyst at a constant predetermined value by always connecting at least one section to a drum via lines, and enabling another or other sections to be shut off selectively from a water circulation via lines which can be shut off. SOLUTION: An economizer section 2a upstream of a catalyst is divided into separated sections 10a and 10b, through which on the one hand, flue-gas flows one after the other, and in which on the other hand working medium flows in parallel from bottom to top. These parallel connecting lines 11a and 11b finally open into a line 12, which is connected to a drum 13. Each of all the parallel-connected connected lines 11b except a connecting line 11a is provided with a shut-off mechanism 14, for example, a shut-off valve disposed downstream of each section 10b of an economizer section 2a upstream of the catalyst. As a result, it is possible to selectively shut off these sections 10b from a water circulation.
