Abstract: PURPOSE: To reduce the dynamic cage stress by setting the ratio of the diameter of a cylindrical roller to the diameter of the bearing pitch circle of a cylindrical roller bearing to be a specific small value. CONSTITUTION: An inner ring 11 of a cylindrical roller bearing 10 is coupled with a turbocharger shaft 15 through an inner bearing bush 13. An outer ring 12 of the cylindrical roller bearing 10 is supported in a soft sheet packet 16 through an outer bearing bush 14. A ratio of the diameter d of the cylindrical roller to the diameter D of the bearing pitch circle is set to be 0.2. The size of a rolling element comprising a roller becomes relatively small, and the size of the inner ring and the outer ring of the bearing can be relatively larger than the conventional dimension of the inner and outer bearing bushes 13, 14. Since the rolling element is relatively small, the mass is small, and thus, the cage stress can be reduced, and the weight of the structure of a cage can be reduced.
