Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a conductor bar in which a semiconductive strip can be fitted to the curvature of conductor bar at the coil head part without requiring a large returning force and without causing any twist. SOLUTION: The conductor bar for the stator coil of electrical machine comprises a plurality of conductor elements coated with one common main insulator over the entire length thereof. On the opposite narrow width sides of the conductor bar, hollow spaces are defined by the conductor elements and main insulator by transposition and filled with a semiconductive material coated with a semiconductive strip 2. The strip 2 is composed of a fiber reinforced plastic which is provided alternately with cuts 4 in the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction in the coil head parts B, C of conductor bar. The cut is deeper than one half of the width (b) of strip 2 and the width (s) thereof is substantially equal to the thickness of strip.
