Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a muffling characteristic while reducing time and labor for production and assembly by composing each damping element of an absorbing element and a damping plate, and placing the damping elements in the state of the damping surfaces being parallel with the center axis of a housing. SOLUTION: A plurality of damping elements 3 are arranged in a housing 2. Each damping element 3 comprises a damping plate 9 which encases an absorbing element 10. The damping elements 3 are arranged in radial grooves 8 of housing walls of the housing 2 of a filter muffler. Damping surfaces 11, 12 of the damping elements 3 are parallel to a center axis 13 of the housing 2. In addition to simplified production and assembly of components, kinds of components can therefore be reduced, and the weight of the filter muffler is reduced.
