Abstract: The present invention relates to a ground fault detection arrangement for a synchronous three-phase electrical machine, and an electrical system comp rising a ground fault detection arrangement and a synchronous three-phase el ectrical machine. The ground fault detection arrangement injects an off-nomi nal frequency voltage between a neutral point of the synchronous three-phase electrical machine and ground and measure resultant currents to detect a gr ound fault.

Abstract: A method for monitoring an on-load tap changer wherein the recording of soun d and its conversion into a sound signal are initiated at the beginning of a connection operation of the tap changer and the sound signal is rectified, converted into a signal envelope, sampled digitally and continuously evaluat ed with respect to the condition of the tap changer by comparing the envelope with at least one fixed or one continuously updated reference envelope. The comparison is carried out selectively by calculating a dimensionless comparison figure Ti which is based on a quantity measure and a variation measure.

Date Mar. 20, 1997A device for sensing electric discharges in a test object with at least two electric connection conductors comprises transducer equipment and evaluation equipment. The transducer equipment comprises at least one transducer for direction-sensitive sensing of current pulses through the connection conductors by sensing a magnetic field, generated by the current pulses, and the polarity thereof. The transducer delivers a transducer signal to the evaluation equipment in dependence on said current pulses and their direction. The evaluation equipment generates, in dependence on received transducer signals, an indicated signal indicating an electric discharge in the test object.
