    Abstract: This invention concerns a martensitic-austentitic steel consisting essentially (in wt%) of: 8 to 15 % chromium, 0.5 to 2.5 % molybdenum, up to 2 % tungsten, 4 to 10 % cobalt, 0.5 to 6 % nickel, 2.5 to 8 % manganese, 0.1 to 1.0 % vanadium, 0.05 to 0,25 % nitrogen, up to 0.2 % carbon, the rest being iron with impurities. This martensitic-austentitic steel can be used, in particular, as material for rotors or rotor disks in gas turbines operating at temperatures above 450 DEG C. The adjustment of the two phase martensitic-austentitic structure is done by heat treatment of the solution annealed and quenched steel structure in a temperature range between 550 DEG C and 650 DEG C.

    Abstract: A ring (4) of pref. Sm-Co magnetic material recessed in a housing (5) of austenitic steel in the wall of the turbine casing (1) is divided into three sections (7a-7c) with alternate polarity of magnetisation. The end (8) of each blade (2) is covered with a plate (3) of approximately rhombic form from the radial aspect, with acute-angled edges parallel to the direction of rotation. The plate is mfd. advantageously of Al whose good electrical conductivity favours the induction of eddy currents and damping of vibrations.

    Abstract: This method for the production of a moulding from a powder material comprises the following steps: a) introduction of the powder material into a rough mould, b) compaction of the material by mechanical tapping, c) presintering of the blank in the rough mould, d) removal of the blank from the rough mould, e) machining of the blank and f) final sintering of the blank to give the definitive moulding. The fully sintered moulding no longer requires to be finished. In this method, the effect of shrinkage during final sintering is kept small and this is advantageous.

    Abstract: Guide blade in which all the capillaries (11) of the porous cover (7) are filled with extracted fluid. A wall which maintains the negative pressure effect in the cavity (6) is formed by the porous cover and the fluid filled capillaries. The cover may be made from a high porosity sintered material using a Cr-Ni-steel base, an X20Cr Mo-steel base, a bronze base (CuSn10) or a low pressure plastic base. The cover is joined to the blade by soldering, welding, adhesion and/or a mechanical pressing.
