Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material for casting which is useful as high-voltage insulating materials such as glass for outdoor use, cheaper than silicone generally used, and excellent in water repellency, and a structural parts which are excellent in water repellency manufactured by the same. Abstract: A fuse has a fuse element (6) with a fusible conductor (7) of a conductor material (8) such as Ag, Cu or Al and is provided with doping points (9) following one another at regular intervals. There, the conductor material (8) has a directly adjoining layer of a first compound (10) of the same with a doping material such as In or Ge. It forms mixed crystals which contain the conductor material (8) and the doping material in a fixed stoichiometric ratio, such as for example Ag2In, and is separated from said conductor material by a stable phase boundary. The doping points (9) weaken the fusible conductor by lowering the melting point to below 250° C., so that arc formation rapidly occurs there when there are short-circuit currents, although its electrical resistance per unit of length is under some circumstances only a few percent greater than in the remaining region. The fusible conductor (7) bears a continuous layer of a burn-up material (12). It has an ignition temperature which is preferably lower than the melting point of the first compound (10).

Abstract: A volume modified epoxy resin casting composition comprises a three-dimensional cross-linked polysiloxane in dispersed form having a particle size of 0.02-50 mu m that may react with the epoxy resin and/or the curing agent and a linear or branched siloxane compound having reactive groups that may react with the epoxy resin and/or hardener. A volume modified casting composition (I) based on a curable epoxy resin comprising an epoxy resin, curing agent, optionally an accelerator and other additives such as filler, flexibilizing agents and coloring agents is characterized in that the composition (I) comprises (A) a three-dimensional cross-linked polysiloxane in dispersed form having a particle size of 0.02-50 mu m that may react with the epoxy resin and/or the curing agent, (B) a linear or branched siloxane compound having reactive groups that may react with the epoxy resin and/or hardener and optionally (C) a low mol. wt. oligomeric siloxane compound. An Independent claim is included for a process for the production of the composition (I) such that at least a portion of the epoxy group containing components (A) and (B) are pre-mixed and pre-hardened or at least a portion of the hydroxyl, amine or carboxyl containing components (A) and (B) are pre-mixed with the epoxy resin and pre-hardened.

Abstract: Agente desmoldeante para la fabricación de piezas moldeadas duroplásticas con superficies hidrofobadas, caracterizado porque contiene (i) al menos un polidimetilsiloxano con actividad desmoldeante, de la fórmula general (I), (CH3)3Si ~ O ~ [Si(CH3)2 ~ O]m ~ Si(CH3)3 en la que m significa cero o un número desde 1 hasta 1.000, así como (ii) al menos un compuesto de silano reactivo, en caso dado hidrolizable, que sea capaz de reaccionar químicamente in situ con la superficie duroplástica que se forma durante el procedimiento de moldeo, de la fórmula general (III): (CH3O)3_p(CH3)pSi ~ [O ~ Si(CH3)2]s - R donde p significa cero, 1, 2 ó 3, s significa cero o un número entero de 1 hasta 100, R significa un resto divalente, orgánico, substituido, que porta un grupo reactivo, que es capaz de reaccionar químicamente con una resina epoxi y cuyo grupo reactivo significa hidroxi, amino, el grupo isocianato, un grupo éster, o glicidilo, y la proporción en silano reactivo o el componente (ii) se encuentraen el intervalo comprendido entre 5 por mil en peso y 5% en peso, referido al peso total del agente desmoldeante.

Abstract: The fuse is used in the medium- and high-voltage sector and has two spaced-apart power supply connections (2, 3) and an active part (1). The active part comprises a fusible, current-carrying fuse element and an arc- extinguishing medium. The fuse element is connected in an electrically conducting manner to the two power supply connections and is arranged on an electrically insulating substrate. It is of a modular construction and has at least two modules (9) connected in series. The arc-extinguishing medium covers the exposed surfaces of the fuse element. The active part is formed in the manner of a sandwich and has two stable moldings (4, 5) and a predominantly planar intermediate layer (6) arranged between the moldings (4, 5). The intermediate layer (6) contains at least the two series-connected modules, whereas a first molding (4) of the two moldings is formed at least by part of the electrically insulating substrate and the second molding (5) is formed at least by part of the arc- extinguishing medium. The fuse is distinguished by a simple construction and by favorable triggering characteristics.

Abstract: A fuse has a fuse element (6) with a fusible conductor (7) of a conductor material (8) such as Ag, Cu or Al and is provided with doping points (9) following one another at regular intervals.
