Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To furthermore improve quality and efficiency in a generated maintenance plan. SOLUTION: In this maintenance planning method and a system for a technical system, the technical system 10 is equipped with a plurality of substations 1, and each of them is equipped with plural device 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and the method determines a maintenance schedule designated when each of the plurality of substations 1 and the devices 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 is included in a maintenance task, and the method (a) determines function dependency between the substations 1 and/or the devices 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and (b) integrates the maintenance task by determining the maintenance schedule. Resultantly, a cost function having a cost as the substitute for at least one period during the period wherein at least a part of the technical system 10 can not be executed owing to a maintenance activity is minimized, and the cost has a step determined by the function dependency.
