Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide an operating method for a burner for operating a heat engine to use fuel containing a highly reactive gas component in addition to combustion of normal oil or natural gas and having a medium calorific value without needing for dilution by steam and nitrogen before combustion. CONSTITUTION: For fuel 15 containing a highly reactive gas component and having a medium calorific value, at least one row of nozzles 10 are arranged on the periphery of partial conical bodies 1 and 2 near the burner outlet at a distance of approximately maximum 30% of a nominal burner diameter. For the highly reactive fuel 15, one fuel conduit 11 and a distributing passage 17 are arranged in a range of a nozzle 10. Further, two systems for injecting two gaseous fuels 14 and 15 are constituted unrelatedly independently from each other.
