    Abstract: An arrangement to control an electrical property of a medium or high voltage AC system comprising a number n of phases (11 -13) with n being at least two comprises a number n of phases (14-16), each phase comprising a series connection of at least two electrical elements (17) with an intermediate connection point (18) between each pair of the at least two electrical elements, where each of the n phases (14-16) of the arrangement is connected on one side to an original common neutral point (19) and on the other side to one of the n phases (11 -13) of the AC system. The arrangement further comprises a number [n-1] of first switchable interconnections (20, 21), where the first switchable interconnections are each arranged between two intermediate connection points (18) of two of the n phases (14-16) of the arrangement, and at least one control unit (30) arranged to control the first switchable interconnections (20, 21) so that the first switchable interconnections (20, 21) are closed, each between two intermediate connection points (18) of two of the n phases (14-16) of the arrangement, thereby interconnecting all n phases of the arrangement and thereby creating a new common neutral point (26) consisting of the closed first switchable interconnections (20, 21).

    Abstract: Disposición de transformador (1) para mitigar oscilaciones transitorias de la tensión, que comprende: un transformador, comprendiendo el transformador: un núcleo de transformador (2) que comprende al menos una pata de núcleo (3a, 3b, 3c); y un arrollamiento (4a, 4b, 4c, 5a, 5c, 5d) arrollado alrededor de una de la al menos una pata de núcleo, extendiéndose el arrollamiento desde un primer terminal de arrollamiento (A) hasta un segundo terminal de arrollamiento (B) y que comprende una primera sección de arrollamiento a lo largo de un primer conductor (7) que se extiende desde el primer terminal de arrollamiento (A) hasta un primer punto extremo intermedio (C), y una segunda sección de arrollamiento a lo largo de un segundo conductor (8) que se extiende desde un segundo punto extremo intermedio (D) hasta dicho segundo terminal de arrollamiento (B); y un componente eléctrico pasivo externo (Cext,1, Cext,2, 11) conectado entre el primer punto extremo intermedio (C) y o bien el segundo punto extremo intermedio (D) o el segundo terminal de arrollamiento (B) dispuesto para reducir una diferencia efectiva entre distribuciones de tensión capacitiva e inductiva entre los puntos extremos intermedios, de tal manera que se mitigan las oscilaciones transitorias de la tensión en el arrollamiento.
