Abstract: Described herein is a switching apparatus for low or medium voltage electric grids, which includes one or more electric poles. Each electric pole includes: an outer casing defining an internal volume of the electric pole; a fixed contact assembly accommodated in the internal volume of the electric pole and including a fixed contact member extending along a longitudinal axis of the electric pole; at least one movable contact assembly accommodated in the internal volume of the electric pole; an actuation member accommodated in the internal volume of the electric pole and arranged coaxially and externally relative to the fixed contact member, so that the fixed contact member passes through the actuation member along the longitudinal axis. The actuation member is slidingly movable along the fixed contact member. When moving between the first and second actuation positions, the actuation member transiently couples to each trip mechanism to actuate the trip mechanism.

Abstract: A low and medium voltage electrical enclosure comprising a supporting structure which defines an internal space delimited by walls forming one or more compartments housing one or more electrical apparatuses. At least one of said walls is provided with one or more venting openings that put into communication said internal space with the outside of said low voltage electrical enclosure and/or one of said compartments with a second compartment. The venting openings are provided with a cover closing a corresponding venting opening in a first—closed—operating condition at first predetermined temperatures and the enclosure is provided with an actuating device adapted to open said cover in a second—open—operating condition at second predetermined temperatures. The actuating device comprises an actuating mechanism having a Shape Memory Alloy-based (SMA-based) actuating element having a first dimension at said first predetermined temperatures reversibly changeable into a second dimension at said second predetermined temperatures, the reversible change of dimension of said SMA-based actuating element from said first dimension to said second dimension determining the reversible movement of said cover from said first—closed—operating condition to said second—open—operating condition, and vice-versa.

Abstract: A switching device including a switching unit having one or more electric poles and including, for each electric pole, a first power contact and a second power contact along which a line current can circulate and one or more solid-state switches; and a supporting frame adapted to be fixed to a supporting structure and including, for each electric pole, a third power contact and a fourth power contact along which said line current can circulate. The switching unit is reversibly movable, with respect to said supporting frame, between an insertion position and a withdrawn position. The switching unit includes, for each electric pole, at least a hydraulic circuit along which a cooling fluid can circulate to remove heat generated by said solid-state switches. The hydraulic circuit includes a first hydraulic connector and a second hydraulic connector that are coupled with or separated from a corresponding third hydraulic connector and a corresponding fourth hydraulic connector of said supporting frame, when said switching unit is in said insertion position or in said withdrawn position.
