    Abstract: A rotor for a synchronous reluctance machine having an even number 2 p of poles circumferentially spaced at an angle α, with α=2 π/2 p, the rotor comprising a substantially cylindrical laminate stack having a plurality of magnetically conductive laminations. One or more of the magnetically conductive laminations includes non-magnetic flux barriers which are spaced from each other in the radial direction, one or more of the non-magnetic flux barriers having a first and second bridge transversally positioned in correspondence of their lateral ends and defining a first and a second air-gap with the outer rim of the magnetically conductive lamination, and further including a third and a fourth bridge transversally positioned and respectively defining together with the first and second bridge a first and a second internal space which are filled with an electrically conductive and non-magnetically conductive material.

    Abstract: A rotor for a rotating machine having a number n of poles pairs p that define corresponding direct pole axis (D-axis) and quadrature axis (Q-axis), and including a rotor core having a plurality of magnetically conductive laminations stacked in a rotor axial direction z. The magnetically conductive laminations include cut-out portions forming a plurality of flux barriers extending continuously with respect to the Q axis from a first rim portion to a second rim portion of the magnetically conductive laminations, the flux barriers being radially alternated by flux paths. The plurality of flux barriers form a corresponding plurality of cavities extending in the rotor core along the axial direction z, at least some of the plurality of cavities being filled with an electrically conductive and magnetically non-conductive material.     Abstract: A rotor for a synchronous reluctance machine includes a rotor core having a plurality of magnetically conductive laminations stacked in a rotor axial direction. The magnetically conductive laminations include cut-out portions forming a plurality of flux barriers radially alternated by flux paths portions, where at least one of the flux barriers includes a ridge connecting two flux paths portions adjacent to the at least one flux barrier. The at least one flux barrier has a first barrier mid-line, which is a line that is equidistant from both sides of the at least one flux barrier. The bridge has a second bridge mid-line, which is the line that is equidistant from both sides of the bridge. The first and second mid-lines intersect. The bridge has a first and second symmetry axis and is non-symmetrical with respect to at least one of the first and second symmetry axis.

    Abstract: A stack of a rotor comprises a plurality of stack elements which include material of first magnetic conductance. The rotor includes sectorial sections distributed round a rotational axis of the rotor. Each of the stack elements has an aperture of second magnetic conductance in each of the sectorial sections. Outer ends of the apertures are located at a rim of the stack elements or at a bridge of the rim. The apertures form channels through the stack in a direction of a rotational axis of the rotor. At least two of the apertures of a common channel of the channels have the outer ends at different radial distances from the rotational axis of the rotor.

    Abstract: A rotor for an electric machine includes a rotor core having a plurality of rotor sheets (RS1), each of the plurality of rotor sheets including a plurality of flux guide sections, each of the plurality of flux guide sections having a plurality of flux paths and a plurality of flux barriers. The plurality of flux guide sections having a first flux guide section in which a first number of the plurality of flux barriers has a bridge interrupting the flux barrier, and a second flux guide section in which a second number of the plurality of flux barriers has a bridge interrupting the flux barrier. Each bridge is made of a material of high permeance, and the first number of the first flux guide section is different than the second number of the second flux guide section.
