Abstract: An insulation of wound conductor for an electrical machine is proposed. The conductor (201) includes m conductor strands wound as Roebel bar out of an electrically conductive, an insulation layer (203) being at least partially provided around the conductor (201). Between the conductor (201) and the insulation layer (203) an intermediate layer (202) is provided. The intermediate layer (202) has a lower conductivity than the conductor (201).
