A dry-type electrical transformer comprising: - a coil assembly including at least one winding, said at least one winding comprising an electrical conductor (2) wound around a longitudinal axis into a plurality of concentric turns (3); - at least one cooling sector (4) defined between adjacent turns of said plurality of concentric turns; - a plurality of spacers (40) which are positioned inside said at least one cooling sector and are spaced from each other so as to allow having a plurality of air ducts (41) each defined between two adjacent spacers of said plurality of spacers; and - at least one electrical shield (50) which is positioned in said at least one cooling sector and is arranged so as to electrically shield said plurality of air ducts.

Dry-type electrical transformer comprising a magnetic core, an inner winding which is arranged around a portion of the magnetic core and has a first rated voltage, at least one outer winding which is arranged around the inner winding and has a second rated voltage which is different from the first rated voltage, wherein the outer winding is spaced apart from the inner winding so as a desired total air-gap is formed there between. A plurality of electrically insulating barriers are positioned between the inner and outer windings and are spaced apart from each other and from the windings so as the total air-gap is divided into a plurality of sub-air-gaps.

The invention relates to the electric shielding of yokes of a transformer, and in particular to a yoke and electric shielding arrangement for a transformer and a transformer with the arrangement. An electric shielding arrangement for a transformer is provided with a yoke (109, 301) for connecting limbs (113) of the transformer (101) and an electric shielding device (112, 301). The electric shielding device (112, 302) is arranged at the yoke (109, 301) between the yoke (109, 301) and a winding (103) of the transformer (101). The first electric shielding device (112, 302) may be a rounded cover (112, 302) and is adapted for shielding the yoke (109, 301) from an electric field of the winding (103) thus smoothing an electric field.
