Abstract: The present invention relates to an angiotensin-converting enzyme II (ACE2) transgenic animal and uses thereof. Specifically, the ACE2 transgenic animals of the present invention are susceptible to SARS-CoV-2 infection and the infected animals exhibit clinic features of human with SARS-CoV-2 infection which are useful in the development of relevant vaccines and therapeutic treatments.
