Abstract: Systems and methods for providing optical distortion information of a vehicle glazing are disclosed. In one example, a method comprises obtaining and analyzing, via at least one processor of a computing device, optical characteristics of the vehicle glazing; generating digitized optical distortion information for the vehicle glazing based on analysis results; generating identification information for the vehicle glazing; and associating the digitized optical distortion information with the identification information.

Abstract: Certain example embodiments relate to a vehicle windshield with a head-up display system, including first and second spaced-apart substrates sandwiching a polymer-inclusive interlayer therebetween, and an anti-reflective coating provided on an exterior surface of the first substrate or an interior surface of the second substrate in opposite to the polymer-inclusive interlayer. An image source directing light rays towards one of the substrates, has an light emission profile showing the strongest light strength at a first wavelength, whereas the anti-reflective coating has a broad reflectance spectrum, showing the lowest reflectance at a second wavelength, which substantially matches the first wavelength.

Abstract: A method according to this disclosure includes stacking a first glass sheet, a first interlayer, a film, a second interlayer, and a second glass sheet to provide a lamination stack, wherein the film has a first film edge that is a first distance from a first edge of the lamination stack to provide a first film cutback; deairing the lamination stack; and autoclaving the lamination stack to provide the laminated glazing, wherein the film shrinks during autoclaving wherein a seal formed during deairing is sufficient such that no air is introduced to the lamination stack during autoclaving and no air is left in the laminated glazing.

Abstract: An antireflective switchable laminated glass construction having a switchable functional film formed of a switchable material layer, a first polymer substrate with a first transparent conductive coating, and a second polymer substrate with a second transparent conductive coating. The switchable functional film is sandwiched between first adhesive polymer interlayer and glass substrate and second adhesive polymer interlayer and glass substrate. The switchable laminated glass construction in an ON (transparent) state has a total light transmittance higher than 50% and a reflectance equal to or less than 13%, as measured from at least one side of the switchable laminated glass construction.
