Abstract: This invention relates to novel shaded logos as shown in figure 1 for use on golf balls, golf balls having said novel shaded logo designs printed on their surface, and methods of adding shaded logos to golf balls. The logos or patterns incorporate a plurality of different colors, and/or a shading effect in all or part of the design as shown in figure 4. Pixel centers are placed equidistant from each other and/or the size of the pixels changes in a predetermined manner over an area comprising one or more regions of the logo. A grey scale randomized shading using bit map transformation is employed under computer programmed control as shown in figure 3.
