Abstract:
The invention provides a flame retardant composition comprising 1-99 weight parts of a salt of piperazine and an inorganic compound selected from among piperazine phosphate, piperazine pyrophosphate and piperazine polyphosphate, or a mixture of two or more of these piperazine salts (ingredient (A)), 99-1 weight parts of a salt of melamine and an inorganic compound selected from among melamine phosphate, melamine pyrophosphate and melamine polyphosphate, or a mixture of two or more of these melamine salts (ingredient (B)) (wherein, the sum of ingredient (A) and ingredient (B) is 100 weight parts), 0-50 weight parts of an arbitrary ingredient (ingredient (C)), and 0.01-20 weight parts of a silicone oil having a viscosity at 25°C of 5000mm 2 /s (ingredient (D)) which is added thereto. This flame retardant not only has superior flame retarding properties, but also has enhanced powder properties and anti-hygroscopic properties, and when it is added to a resin, there is little change of electrical resistance.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a flame-retardant chlorine-containing resin composition obtained by blending the following component (A), component (B), and component (C), and additionally component (D) if necessary, into a chlorine-containing resin: Component (A): a (poly)phosphate compound represented by the following general formula (1); Component (B): a (poly)phosphate compound represented by the following general formula (3); Component (C): wood flour; and Component (D): zinc oxide. In the formula (1), n represents a number from 1 to 100; X 1 represents e.g. a triazine derivative represented by the general formula (2); and 0
Abstract:
A flame retardant composition comprising 1 to 99 pts.wt. of piperazine/inorganic phosphorus compound salt (component (A)) selected from among piperazine phosphate, piperazine pyrophosphate, piperazine polyphosphate and mixtures of these piperazine salts; 99 to 1 pt.wt. of melamine/inorganic phosphorus compound salt (component (B)) selected from among melamine phosphate, melamine pyrophosphate, melamine polyphosphate and mixtures of these melamine salts (provided that the sum of component (A) and component (B) is 100 pts.wt.) and 0 to 50 pts.wt. of arbitrary component (component (C)), to which 0.01 to 20 pts.wt. of silicone oil (component (D)) of ≤5000 mm2/s viscosity at 25°C is added. This flame retardant composition excels in not only flame retarding capability but also powder performance and hygroscopic property enhancing effects. Addition of this flame retardant composition to resins provides flame retardant materials with change of electrical resistance reduced.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame retardant styrenic resin composition which is free from a halogen-based flame retardant that is burned to give a harmful gas and an inorganic flame retardant such as magnesium hydroxide or antimony trioxide that damages a resin in property, and thus is excellent in flame retardation and resin property including tensile strength. SOLUTION: The flame retardant styrenic resin composition comprises 100 pts.mass of (A) a styrenic thermoplastic elastomer resin component, 1-200 pts.mass of (B) a flame retardant component, and 0.01-10 pts.mass of (C) a silicone oil component based on 100 pts.mass of (B) the flame retardant component, wherein (B) the flame retardant component comprises (b-1) a salt component of piperazine and an inorganic phosphor compound selected from the group consisting of piperazine phosphate, piperazine pyrophosphate, piperazine polyphosphate, and a mixture of two or more of these, and (b-2) a salt component of melamine and an inorganic phosphor compound selected from the group consisting of melamine phosphate, melamine pyrophosphate, melamine polyphosphate, and a mixture of two or more of these.
