Abstract: This invention provides: a polyurethane for cosmetic preparations, which is obtained by reacting (A) a polyester polyol having two or more hydroxyl groups in each molecule, (B) an aliphatic diol consisting of two hydroxyl groups and an aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 3 to 8 carbon atoms, (C) a carboxyl group-containing diol which has a carboxyl group and two hydroxyl groups in the molecule and has a molecular weight of 100 to 300, (D) a diisocyanate containing at least one compound selected from the group consisting of isophorone diisocyanate, hexamethylene diisocyanate and dicyclohexylmethane-4,4′-diisocyanate, and (E) a chain extender which contains at least one compound selected from the group consisting of water, ethylene diamine and propylene diamine and which has a weight average molecular weight of 50,000 to 300,000; a production method; and a cosmetic preparation which contains this polyurethane for cosmetic preparations.

Abstract: The present invention provides: a urethane polymer having a structure represented by general formula (1) below; an oil composition in which the urethane polymer is dissolved; and a cosmetic composition containing the oil composition. (In the formula, R1 and R2 each independently denote an alkylene group having 5 to 40 carbon atoms, Z1 and Z2 each denote an oxyalkylene group represented by general formula (2) or (3) disclosed in the description, R3 denotes a diisocyanate residue, X1 denotes a hydrogen atom or a group represented by general formula (4) disclosed in the description, X2 denotes a hydrogen atom or a group represented by general formula (5) disclosed in the description, and n denotes a number from 1 to 20, provided that n is 1 if X1 and X2 are each a hydrogen atom.)
