Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To test various communication characteristics between desired antennas without a radio wave dark room by providing an electric field intensity measuring box, capable of giving and receiving aerial propagation and shielding radio wave noise of an outer field on each antenna of a tested device(EUT) and a radio tester, and making it variable in the distance between both antennas arbitrarily in artificial manner. SOLUTION: A test device is formed by electric field strength measuring boxes 70, 80, and a variable damping transmitting means 200, and a shielding box main body 75 is capable of shielding radio wave noise of an outer field. An electromagnetic wave received by an antenna 71 is converted into an electrical signal to be transmitted to a variable damping means 90 and converted into an electromagnetic wave to be emitted. Electromagnetic coupling is made by the antenna 71 and a tested antenna 11 of EUT to give and receive radio waves. The transmitting means 200 simulates the distance D100 between the tested antenna 11 and a measuring antenna 21 of a radio tester 20 in artificial manner. The setting of the damping amount of the variable damping means 90 is varied to test equivalently the antenna at desired antenna-to- antenna distance D102, for example several tens of meters to several tens of kilometus in artificial manner.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a spectrum analyzer whose high measuring accuracy is enhanced with reference to only a specific frequency band by a method wherein a high-accuracy frequency-characteristic correction means is installed with reference to the specific frequency band as an object. CONSTITUTION: On the basis of a central-frequency setting operation from a setting panel 96 and on the basis of a frequency-span-setting input condition, it is judged whether a specific frequency band to which a precision frequency correction is to be executed is in a measuring state or not. When the specific frequency band is in the measuring state, the correction and arithmetic- processing operation of a frequency characteristic is performed with good accuracy and fine by means of precision-correction offset data 22a in a precision- frequency characteristic correction memory 22 so as to be output. On the other hand, when the specific frequency band is not in the measuring state, a precision-frequency correction part 20 which outputs the frequency characteristic as it is without performing the correction and arithmetic-processing operation is installed.
