Abstract: PURPOSE:To measure the input signal waveform in zero-span mode and measure at the same time the mean of the measured waveforms. CONSTITUTION:A low pass filter 21, additional A/D converter 22, additional memory 23 path and memory means 24 are added. In zero-span mode, the integrated waveform data corresponding to the input waveform data in an amount for one picture plane (smoothened through the low pass filter 21) written in an image memory 11, is written in the additional memory 23. A CPU installed in a control circuit 12 calculates the mean of the data in additional memory 23, and value from calculation or the DC waveform corresponding to the calculation value is given on a display 14 together with the input waveform data in the image memory 11. In lieu of the additional A/D converter 22, an A/D converter 10 may be used under changing over alternately by a switching means.

CONSTITUTION:In a zero span mode of a spectrum analyzer, an amplitude sample from an A/D transducer 19 is selected by a switching circuit 25, given to an additional averaging part 26 to obtain an additional mean value A1 of amplitude samples per every 600 samples and these processes are repeated. Together with already obtained additional mean, each of the additional mean value A1 is square-avaraged by an square averaging part 27 and each square mean value Ri is saved in turns in an image memory 21.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a device and method for measuring power which can measure a total power and an average power accurately without any error in measuring noise and spectrum diffusion signal. CONSTITUTION:In a spectrum analyzer, an input signal is converted to a genuine number of PPn=10P by providing a genuine number conversion part 11. Then, by providing an average value calculation part 12, an average value of PPa=(PP1+PP2+...+PPN) is obtained. Then. by providing a logarithmic conversion part 13, an average power is obtained by Pavg=10logPPa, thus constituting a power measuring instrument. Also, by providing a total power calculation part 14 and by multiplying an average power per unit by a measurement frequency value, a device for obtaining the total power may be configured. Also, the operation may be realized as a method for measuring power.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To enhance the operability of user while facilitating the analysis and display by measuring the spectrum of a signal to be measured depending on the number of zoom screens and processing a display screen from a measurement data being stored. CONSTITUTION: A control section 95 controls the measurement sequentially depending on the number of zoom screens being provided from a set panel 66. The spectrum data of a signal 100 to be measured, being measured according to the specification of measurement corresponding to main and zoom display screens, is stored in a trace memory 72 and a data is obtained for each screen. A display data processing section 11 receives the number of screens N, the position of display screen and the size corresponding to given zoom parameters 12 from a panel 66. A data is also received from a corresponding memory 72 and the lateral axis/longitudinal axis is contracted or elongated depending on the size of display screen using butter memories 14a-14d corresponding to respective screens thus displaying 90 the data with each zoom screen size. With such constitution, a plurality of zoom screens can be displayed and compared thus enhancing the operation of user and facilitating the analysis and display.
