    Abstract: PURPOSE:To saccharify cellulose with secondary decomposition of the saccharides inhibited by solubilizing celluloses with zinc chloride, then hydrolyzing them. CONSTITUTION:Woods, wastes from agriculture and forestry of used paper, as a raw material of cellulose, is combined with an aqueous solution of zinc chloride in 60-75% concentration at room temperature to 60 deg.C to dissolve the cellulose. The solution is cooled down to room temperature and diluted with water to precipitate non-crystalline cellulose. The precipitate is rinsed with water, combined with 1-10% of a mineral acid so that the final concentration of the mineral acid becomes 0.2-5%. Then, the mixture is saccharified by heating at 100-200 deg.C for 1-120min, while the zinc chloride solution separated from the regenerated cellulose is adjusted in its concentration and reused to dissolve the cellulose material.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To increase the detection sensitivity in thermal analysis without making the sample image in the observation with a microscope unclear or securing a substantial amount of sample, by providing a concentrical columnar projection in the internal center of a lid of a sample container. CONSTITUTION:A concentric columnar projection 5 is provided in the internal center of a lid 2A of a sample container 1. As the internal center of the lid 2A is projected 5 so much to get tight on the bottom of the container 1, the sample 4 can be discharged about and is so free from direct effect of light source energy irradiated to the center of the container 1. In addition, since there is little of the sample 4 existing at the center of the container 1, no heat generated from the sample 4 is dissipated from the center bottom hole to permit effective heat transmission to any thermocouple contact positioned in the perimeter of the bottom surface. Besides, the center of the lid 2A is projected 5 so much to the bottom as to make the sample thickness extremely less at the center corresponding to the optical observation part, thereby making the observation image with a microscope clear with a narrower focal distance range.
