    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat storage device to store heat at a plurality of temperature areas and reduce incurring of a heat loss to external environment and to provide a heat control method for this device. SOLUTION: A plurality of heat storage tank to store heat imparted from an external part and take out the heat are concentrically or coaxially arranged such that an inner heat storage tank 2a is surrounded with an outer heat storage tank 2b. The heat storage tanks 2a and 2b store heat such that temperature is increased or decreased from external environment toward the inside to store heat. This constitution performs storage of heat different with every heat storage tank in temperature, decreases a temperature difference between the heat storage temperature of the heat storage tank and external environment with the decrease of a distance between the heat storage tank and the outside, and reduces incurring of a heat loss from the heat storage tank to an external part.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the exhausted amount of NOx and soot contained in the exhaust gas from a Diesel engine by using the gas as part of the air for combustion in a combustor such as boiler, and by combusting hydrocarbon fuel. CONSTITUTION:Exhaust gas from a Diesel engine 1 is passed through an exhaust gas duct line 2, introduced into the air for secondary combustion of the fuel in a burner 5 of a boiler 3, and used as the air for combustion of the fuel. Reduction of NOx in the exhaust gas by the fuel (hydrocarbons) shall take place at a combustion reaction band in the boiler 3 and its backstream. The air ratio in the combustion reaction band shall be in the condition to allow imperfect combustion of the fuel under reductive atmosphere, and the uncombusted portion or unreacted gas in this region are combusted perfectly by adding air for two-stage combustion.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a control circuit having a high response characteristic and stability without being influenced by heat radiation of visible light and infra-red rays by a method wherein OH emission spectrum is detected in response to a linear relation between a strength of OH emission spectrum and an air ratio at a flame base part just after an outlet of a burner. CONSTITUTION:A light 17 emitted from a flame base part passes through a flame viewing hole 16, passes through a choper 21 and inputs into a spectroscope 22. Detected OH spectrum is photoelectrically converted by a photomultiplier 23. OH emission spectrum converted into an electrical signal is transmitted to a control part 3. A control unit 31 stores a constant of the fuel. The value of the OH emission spectrum strength corresponding to a desired target air ratio is set in reference to an input signal from a fuel flow meter 13. An air flow rate control valve 4 is controlled for its driving operation in such a way as the OH emission spectrum strength signal from the spectrum detection part 2 may coincide with this target value, thereby the most appropriate operating air ratio can always be kept.
