Abstract: A process for the continuous production of monomer components of an aromatic polyester, by reaction of the aromatic polyester (A) with a super critical alcohol (B) to form an aromatic divalent carboxylic acid ester (C) and a divalent alcohol (D) is carried out in a reactor which is maintained under supercritical conditions for (B). A process for the continuous production of monomer components of an aromatic polyester, by reaction of the aromatic polyester (A) with a super critical alcohol (B) to form an aromatic divalent carboxylic acid ester (C) and a divalent alcohol (D) comprises continuous addition of the aromatic polyester (A) and the monovalent alcohol (B) into a reactor which is maintained under supercritical conditions for (B); reaction of (A) and (B) with continuous removal of (C), (D) and (B) from the reactor and separation and recovery of (C) and (D).

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monomer production process from aromatic polyester of any kinds without screening through the continuous operations. SOLUTION: Aromatic polyester and a monohydric alcohol are continuously charged into a reaction vessel 4 and the inside of the reactor is kept under the supercritical conditions of the monohydric alcohol thereby allowing the aromatic polyester to react with the supercritical monohydric alcohol. Then, the aromatic dicarboxylic ester and the dihydric alcohol formed by the above reaction are continuously taken out of the reactor 4 in the state that the aromatic dicarboxylic ester is saturatedly dissolved in the monohydric alcohol, then the aromatic dicarboxylic ester and the dihydric alcohol are separated and recovered from the reaction mixture taken out of the reactor vessel.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously produce a monomer in high yield under a condition in which the recovery and separation of the monomer are simple and industrially advantageous. SOLUTION: An aromatic polyester and a monohydric alcohol are continuously fed to a reaction vessel, and the fed polyester and supercritical monohydric alcohol are reacted while keeping the condition in the reaction vessel to the supercritical condition. The aromatic divalent carboxylic ester and the dihydric alcohol produced by the reaction and dissolved in the supecritical methanol is continuously discharged from the reaction vessel together with the supercritical monohydric alcohol.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make dioxins harmless by an industrially advantageous method wherein inorg. powder contg. dioxins is dispersed into supercritical water held at least at the critical temp. and at least under the critical pressure and dioxins are decomposed under this condition. SOLUTION: Inorg. powder contg. dioxins, water and open air are filled in a reactor and it is heated at 653-873K being at least critical temp. of water, pref. 653-773K. In this case, the reaction pressure is controlled by wt. of water filled in the reactor and 22-40MPa, pref. 25-35MPa is pref. After a specified reaction time passes, in the case where an oxidizing agent is not incorporated, at least 96.5% dioxins in the reactor are decomposed and in the case where such an oxidizing agent as hydrogen peroxide and oxygen gas is incorporated, at least 98.5% dioxins are decomposed. Thereby, dioxins can be made harmless by an industrially advantageous method without necessitating high reaction temp. and complicated reaction control.
