Abstract: A heat-sensitive negative-working lithographic printing plate precursor includes a grained and anodized aluminium support, and a coating provided thereon, the coating containing an image-recording layer which includes hydrophobic thermoplastic polymer particles, a binder, and an infrared absorbing dye characterized in that the grained and anodized surface of the support has a CIE 1976 L*-value between 55 and 75.
