    Abstract: An arrangement 400 for mounting components 30, 90, 500, 502 in a heating chamber 510 for heating a fluid of a fluid separation apparatus (10, Fig. 1) comprises a mounting board 300 having at least one mounting recess 302, wherein each recess is configured for accommodating at least one component. The at least one component is configured to be mountable in and/or on the at least one mounting recess. A heating chamber comprising the arrangement and a method of mounting components in a heating chamber are also claimed. In a further aspect, the fluid separation apparatus comprises: a fluid drive unit (20, Fig. 1) for driving a fluid comprising a mobile phase and the fluidic sample in the mobile phase; a separation unit 30 for separating the fluidic sample into a plurality of fractions; and the arrangement. Preferably, the separation unit is a chromatographic column.

    Abstract: A pre-heater assembly 90 for pre-heating a fluid, particularly in a fluid separation apparatus 10, comprises a capillary 200 having a lumen and being configured for conducting the fluid, and a thermal coupling body 202 contacting at least part of the capillary. The thermal coupling body has a thermal conductivity in a range between 8 W/(m K) and 100 W/(m K) and is arrangable so that heat generated by a heat source 80 is supplied to the capillary via at least part of the thermal coupling body. In another aspect, the thermal coupling body is made of plastic. Suitably, the plastic thermal coupling body is made from plastic filled with thermally conductive particles. A fluid separation apparatus (10, Fig. 1) is also claimed which comprises a fluid drive unit (20, Fig. 1) for driving a fluid comprising the mobile phase and the fluidic sample in the mobile phase; a separation unit (30, Fig. 1) for separating the fluidic sample and the pre-heater assembly upstream of the separation unit. In an embodiment, the pre-heater assembly is configured as a pre-column heat exchanger for a liquid chromatography apparatus.
