Abstract: The present invention addresses the problem of providing water in which permanganate ions are present stably over a long period of time, and a method for producing said water. As a means for solving this problem, the present invention provides water including permanganate ions, said water being obtained by dissolving 0.1 µm to 1 mM of a divalent manganese compound, 0.1 µm to 1 mM of an organic iron compound, and 1-300 mM of an inorganic salt in water in which ozone microbubbles have been generated using an ozone gas at a concentration of 1-300 g/Nm3. The half-life of the permanganate ions in this water including permanganate ions is three months or more when filled, for example, into a sealed container at atmospheric pressure and stored in 40 °C temperature conditions, and said water shares, with water including permanganate ions and being produced by dissolving a permanganate compound into water, the feature of including permanganate ions, but has markedly different properties.
