Abstract: A visualization system for an ophthalmic procedure on a target eye, e.g., lens replacement surgery, includes first and second light sources respectively operable for directing visible and NIR light toward the target eye. A hot mirror directs reflected light from the eye along two paths, i.e., a visible light path for reflected visible light and an NIR light path for reflected NIR light. First and second cameras are respectively positioned in the visible and NR light paths to detect the reflected visible or NIR light and output a visible or NIR image. An electronic control unit (ECU) executes a method to detect a perimeter edge of an imaged portion of the target eye in the NIR image using edge detection logic, merges the visible image with the NIR image to construct a combined image, and indicates the perimeter edge in the combined image.

Abstract: A surgical microscope is configured to capture images of an eye of a patient and defines an optical axis. An illumination source is configured to emit a plurality of beams onto the eye of the patient at a plurality of angles relative to the optical axis. A controller is coupled to the surgical microscope and the illumination source, the controller configured to independently control values for illumination parameters for each beam of the plurality of beams to facilitate imaging of the eye of the patient. The illumination parameters may compensate for reflections from the iris, offset of the eye relative to the optical axis, and reflections of ambient light. The illumination parameters may be controlled subject to inputs received from a surgeon or other user.

Abstract: OF THE DISCLOSURE In certain embodiments, a system, a computer-implemented method, and computer- readable medium are disclosed for performing integrated analysis of MSI and OCT images to diagnose eye disorders. MSI and OCT are processed using separate input machine learning models to create input feature maps that are input to an intermediate machine learning model. The intermediate machine learning model processes the input feature maps and outputs a final feature map that is processed by one or more output machine learning models that output one or more estimated representations of a pathology of the eye of the patient. A single device captures OCT and non-OCT images using (a) a sensor of a first imaging device that is shared with a second imaging device and/or (b) an optical component for directing light form the retina to the first imaging device or the second imaging device.

Abstract: In certain embodiments, a system, a computer-implemented method, and computer- readable medium are disclosed for enhanced ophthalmic visualization. A plurality of images corresponding to different portions of the electromagnetic spectrum are obtained and combined, such as by pixel-wise subtraction to obtain a combined image. The images may be weighted with weights selected to enhance visualization of features, such as layers of the retina or features corresponding to pathologies. The combined image may be processed, such as by a machine learning model, to extract features.
