Abstract: In accordance with some embodiments, a method is performed at a device. The device displays a first user interface, wherein the first user interface includes a background; a foreground area overlaying a portion of the background; the foreground area includes user interface objects. The device detects an input while a first focus selector is at a first user interface object in the foreground area. In response, if the input by the contact meets one or more first press criteria, including when a characteristic intensity of the contact remains below a first intensity threshold during the input, the device performs a first predetermined action that corresponds to the first user interface object in the foreground area; and, if the input meets one or more second press criteria, the device performs a second action, distinct from the first predetermined action, that corresponds to the first user interface object in the foreground area.
