Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method giving dynamic signage in a retail shop or other sales environments.SOLUTION: A dynamic signage device, for example a tablet computer, is associated with a product, the association may be based on a location of the device and/or the product, and the device can present information about the product to a customer in an interactive manner. The device can automatically check for updated product information and modify its display based on the updated product information. Management of plural dynamic signage devices can be coordinated within and across multiple stores, and an interactive floor-map creation system incorporating the dynamic signage devices can facilitate changing the associations between the products and dynamic signage devices.

Abstract: Dynamic signage systems are provided for a sales environment. A dynamic signage device 106, for example a tablet computer is associated with a product 102. The association may be based on a location of the device and/or the product. The device presents information about the product to a customer in an interactive manner. The device can automatically check for updated product information via a server and modify its display based on the updated product information. Management of multiple dynamic signage devices can be coordinated within and across stores utilizing servers, and an interactive floor-map creation system incorporating dynamic signage devices can facilitate changing the associations between products and dynamic signage devices.
