    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To push a user interface to a remote device.SOLUTION: A graphical user interface (GUI) can be presented on a remote control accessory device having a user input part and a display device. The GUI can be defined and managed by a portable media device to be controlled by using the GUI. The portable media device can give a GUI image to be displayed to an accessory. The accessory can transmit information to the portable media device showing the user operation of the input device in response to an image to be displayed. The portable media device can process the input, and identify an action requested by the user, and take an appropriate action. This can include updating the GUI image given to the accessory.
