PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid-crystal display (LCD) touch screen in which a display circuit is integrated with touch sensing elements. SOLUTION: Touch sensing elements can be completely mounted within the LCD lamination configuration but outside, namely, other than between the color filter plate and the array plate. Alternatively, some touch sensing elements can be arranged between the color filter plate and the array plate while the other touch sensing elements can be also arranged in places other than between both of the plates. In another alternative, all touch sensing elements can be also arranged between the color filter plate and the array plate. The latter alternative can include both a conventional LCD and an in-plane switching (IPS) LCD. In some forms, one or more display structures can also have a touch sensing function. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase effective spatial resolution and/or to expand a physical range of a sensitive device using the limited number of sensors by optimizing the shape and arrangement of a capacitive sensor electrode. SOLUTION: There is disclosed a capacitive touch sensitive device. One aspect of the touch sensitive device is a reduction in the number of sensor circuits needed for circular or linear capacitive touch sensitive devices while maintaining the same resolution and absolute position determination function for a single object. A related aspect of the touch sensitive device is a coding pattern that allows each sensor circuit to share multiple electrodes at specially chosen locations in a sensor array such that the ability to detect the absolute position of a single object over the sensor array of capacitive touch sensitive device is not compromised. Hier werden Flüssigkristallanzeige- (LCD) Berührungsbildschirme offenbart, bei denen die Berührungssensorelemente mit den Anzeigeschaltungen integriert sind. Die Integration kann eine Vielfalt von Formen annehmen. Die Berührungssensorelemente können vollständig innerhalb des LCD-Stapelaufbaus aber nicht zwischen der Farbfilterplatte und der Feldplatte implementiert sein. Alternativ können einige Berührungssensorelemente zwischen den Farbfilter- und Feldplatten angeordnet sein, wobei andere Berührungssensorelemente nicht zwischen den Platten liegen. In einer anderen Alternative können alle Berührungssensorelemente zwischen den Farbfilter- und Feldplatten liegen. Die letzte Alternative kann sowohl konventionelle als auch in einer Ebene schaltende (IPS) LCDs umfassen. In einigen Formen können Anzeigestrukturen auch eine Berührungsmessfunktion aufweisen.
