Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To releasably attach at least two objects together in a preferred configuration without using fasteners and without external intervention.SOLUTION: Each of the objects includes an attachment mechanism arranged to provide a magnetic field having appropriate properties. When the attachment mechanisms are brought into proximity with each other, the magnetic fields cooperatively interact based upon their respective properties, resulting in the objects magnetically attaching to each other in a desired and repeatable manner. For example, at least in part because of the cooperative nature of the interaction of the magnetic fields, the objects attach to each other in a predetermined position and relative orientation without external intervention.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attachment technique for connecting an accessory device with a portable electronic device in a detachable manner.SOLUTION: A product 10 comprises an attachment system 13, and an electronic device 12 comprises an attachment system 14 corresponding to the attachment system 13. The attachment system 13 cooperates with the corresponding attachment system 14, and can connect the product 10 and the electronic device 12 in a detachable manner.
