Abstract: A machine implemented method of preparing a mobile device for use in a mobile communication network, the method comprising: receiving in a server a request to prepare a mobile device for use with a mobile communication network, the mobile device usable with the mobile communication network and having inserted therein a subscriber identity module (SIM) card usable with the mobile communication network, the request comprising: a device data that uniquely identifies the mobile device for which the request was received, and a SIM card data that uniquely identifies a service provider and a subscriber having an account with the service provider to use the mobile communication network; generating an activation ticket in the server responsive to receiving the request, the activation ticket having securely stored thereon the device data and the SIM card data in accordance with an activation ticket format usable in the mobile device; and transmitting the activation ticket from the server to the mobile device for which the request was received.

Abstract: Un procedimiento implementado por máquina para activar un dispositivo móvil (100), comprendiendo el procedimiento: emitir desde un dispositivo móvil que tiene una tarjeta SIM (302A, 302B, 302C) actualmente insertada una solicitud de activación, comprendiendo la solicitud de activación (304) datos que identifican de manera única el dispositivo y datos que identifican de manera única la tarjeta SIM actualmente insertada; almacenar en el dispositivo móvil un registro de activación firmado (308) que comprende los datos de dispositivo y los datos de tarjeta SIM, habiéndose generado y firmado el registro de activación por un servidor de activación (110) respondiendo a la solicitud de activación (304); verificar el registro de activación con respecto a la tarjeta SIM (302A, 302B, 302C) actualmente insertada; y registrar el dispositivo con una red de comunicaciones después de verificar de manera satisfactoria el registro de activación.
