Abstract: Ein Verfahren, das von einem In-Ohr-Kopfhörer durchgeführt wird. Gekoppelt mit dem In-Ohr-Kopfhörer ist eine erste Ohrspitze, die in einen Gehörgang eines Benutzers eingeführt wird. Das Verfahren erhält ein Audiosignal von einer Audioquellenvorrichtung, die mit dem In-Ohr-Kopfhörer gepaart ist, und verwendet das Signal, um einen Lautsprecher des Kopfhörers so anzusteuern, dass er einen Schall in den Gehörgang ausgibt. Das Verfahren erhält ein Mikrofonsignal, das auf den ausgegebenen Schall anspricht. Das Verfahren benachrichtigt den Benutzer, die erste Ohrspitze gegen eine zweite Ohrspitze auszutauschen, als Reaktion darauf, dass ein dem Mikrofonsignal zugeordneter Parameter niedriger als ein vorausgewählter Schwellenwert ist.
