Abstract:
A display and vision correction system includes a head-mounted display unit, a glasses frame, and a removable lens assembly. The head-mounted display unit is configured to be worn on a head of a user and includes a display for providing graphical content to the user. The glasses frame is configured to be worn on the head of the user. The removable lens assembly is removably coupleable to the head-mounted display unit and to the glasses frame. The removable lens assembly includes a corrective lens element.
Abstract:
Attachment systems (100) for attaching a wearable electronic device (102) to a user including a sizing band (106) and a retaining band (108) are disclosed. The sizing band includes at least one sizing eyelet (116) and a band-insertable end. The retaining band includes at least a post (114) for insertion into the sizing eyelet of the sizing band and a concealment aperture (110) configured to receive the band- insertable end of the sizing band. A bottom surface of the retaining band can be a recessed guide bed (112) configured to guide the band-insertable end along the bottom surface of the retaining band. A wearable electronic device can couple to both the sizing band and the retaining band by accepting an end portion (302a) of each band into receiving channels (324) extending into opposite sidewalls of the housing.
Abstract:
A computer system displays a first user interface object with a first appearance at a first position in a first view of a three-dimensional environment that is at least partially shared between a first and second user. While displaying the first user interface object, the computer system detects a first user input by the first user. In response to detecting the first user input: in accordance with a determination that the second user is not currently interacting with the first user interface object, the computer system performs a first operation; and in accordance with a determination that the second user is currently interacting with the first user interface object, the computer system displays a visual indication, that the first user interface object is not available for interaction, including changing an appearance or position of the first user interface object, and forgoes performing the first operation.
Abstract:
A head-mounted device may include a housing structure, a display module mounted in the housing structure, and adjustable support structures coupled to the housing structure. The adjustable support structures may include a first portion that rests against a user's forehead and second and third portions that rest against the user's cheeks or temples. The adjustable support structures include posts with adjustable lengths.
Abstract:
Non-occluding earbuds and methods for making the same are disclosed. The earbud has a non-occluding housing having a directional port positioned offset with respect to a center axis of the housing. The directional port may be constructed to project acoustic signals into the user's ear canal. In addition, the directional port can include separate openings or ports for different front volumes existing within the housing. Front and back volumes can exist for each speaker contained within the housing, and embodiments of this invention use a midmold structure that enables the front volumes to be tuned independently of each other.
Abstract:
A system for carrying or using a device includes the device and at least one attachment apparatus. The device may include at least one attachment element. The attachment apparatus may include a length of material and at least one attachment point arranged on an end of the length of material. The at least one attachment point may include at least one magnetic feature configured to attach and detach the device and the length of material. The material can include but is not limited to cloth, metallic (magnetic and non-magnetic), fibrous material, and so forth.
Abstract:
There is provided a modular strap family for electronic devices, the modular strap family comprising a first base unit comprising a first electronic component configured to perform a first set of functions, and a first enclosure housing the first electronic component and defining a first attachment coupling. The modular strap family also comprising a second base unit comprising a second electronic component configured to perform a second set of functions different from the first set of functions, and a second enclosure housing the second electronic component and defining a second attachment coupling, wherein the first enclosure and the second enclosure are different. The modular strap family further comprising a strap unit comprising a strap defining a third attachment coupling, wherein the first attachment coupling and the second attachment coupling are standardized such that, in a first configuration, the third attachment coupling couples the strap to the first attachment coupling; and in a second configuration, the third attachment coupling couples the strap to the second attachment coupling.
