Abstract:
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a removable module (102) and a housing for an attachment system of a consumer product (104). The removable module includes a locking mechanism comprising a first portion having a substantially planar top surface and second portion that comprises a substantially non-planar bottom surface. The first portion and the second portion are coupled together. The locking mechanism also includes a first spring mechanism coupled between the first portion and the second portion. The first spring mechanism causes the first portion to be biased away from the second portion. The locking mechanism also includes a second spring mechanism. The second spring mechanism causes the substantially planar top surface of the first portion to be biased substantially flush with respect to the removable module and also causes the substantially non-planar bottom surface of the second portion to be biased proud with respect to the removable module.
Abstract:
An assembly for a consumer product, such as a wristwatch or other wearable electronic device, can securely retain a cover member against a housing of the product. A retaining member from within the housing can engage and secure the cover member to provide a fluid barrier. The cover member can include a window or other components of a sensor device. The parts can be easily disassembled without causing permanent damage.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a locking assembly for an attachment system (196) of an electronic device (10). More specifically, embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to an attachment unit (12) that is configured to be inserted and removed from a housing (14),of a consumer product. The attachment unit and/or the housing includes a catch member or other such locking assembly configured to relaseably secure the attachment unit within the housing.
Abstract:
An electronic watch includes a housing, a display positioned at least partially within the housing, a cover covering at least part of the display, and a crown having a portion positioned along a side of the housing. The crown may include an inner member that is rotationally constrained relative to the housing and an outer member that is rotationally free relative to the inner member. The device may further include a rotation sensor configured to sense a rotation of the outer member relative to the inner member.

Abstract:
There is provided an electronic device comprising: an outer housing defining an internal volume; a first speaker and a second speaker disposed in the internal volume, the first speaker including a frame disposed around a periphery of a diaphragm of the first speaker; a front volume defined by the outer housing, the first speaker, and the second speaker; a first back volume defined by the first speaker and the frame; and a second back volume defined by the second speaker and the frame.
Abstract:
There is provided a wirelessly locatable device (500) configured to send a wireless signal to an electronic device to facilitate localization of the wirelessly locatable device by the electronic device. The wirelessly locatable device (500) comprises a first housing member (502) defining a first exterior surface of the wirelessly locatable device, a second housing member (516) removably coupled to the first housing member and defining a second exterior surface of the wirelessly locatable device, and an antenna assembly (508). The antenna assembly (508) comprises an antenna frame (802) defining a top surface, a peripheral side surface, and a hole through the top surface. The antenna assembly (508) further comprises a first antenna (806, 826) on the antenna frame along the peripheral side surface and configured to communicate with the electronic device using a first wireless protocol, a second antenna (808, 833) on the antenna frame along the peripheral side surface and configured to send a localization signal to the electronic device using a second wireless protocol different than the first wireless protocol, and a third antenna (804, 824) on the antenna frame along the top surface and configured to communicate with the electronic device via a third wireless protocol different than the first and second wireless protocols. The wirelessly locatable device (500) further comprises an audio system (404, 504, 506) positioned at least partially in the hole and configured to produce an audio output.
