Abstract: The vehicle has three axles. The front axle construction (1) has a conventional steering mechanism (3, 4, 5). The rear axle assembly (6) is driven by the engine via a conventional differential gear system. The intermediate axle (7) is steered in synchronism with the front wheels, using a hydraulic system (12 to 15). The hydraulic system is controlled by an electronic system (16), fed by turning angle detectors (17, 18).

Abstract: The seat (1) has two inflatable plastic sacs (3, 4) embedded in the plastic foam filling (2). The sacs are filled with fluid by a pump (7) via check valves (15, 16). Sensors on the sacs generate signals (i1, i2) proportional to the degree of inflation. The controller (12) retains data related to the contours of the pelvises of various drivers and operates the motor (10) to inflate the sacs to the required degree.
