    Abstract: La presente invencion describe un perfil de proteccion para un cuerpo sustancialmente en forma de placa (30) que comprende una banda de perfil fabricada de espuma termoplastica con dos flancos (41, 42) y un liston (43). En el espacio de recepcion (44) de la banda de perfil (40) se inserta una lamina de incrustacion (50), de tal manera que los extremos expuestos de sus paredes laterales (51, 52) se unen firmemente a las caras frontales expuestas (45, 46) de los flancos (41, 42) en su pared de base (53) se arregla a tal distancia (54) desde el liston (43) que, tambien con el cuerpo en forma de placa (30) insertado en la incrustacion de lamina (50), la pared de base (53) no entra en contacto con el liston (43), sino bajo el peso del cuerpo en forma de placa (30) la lamina de incrustacion (50) presiona los flancos (41, 42) de la banda de perfil contra el cuerpo en forma de placa (30).

    Abstract: The hand tool (21) to fit a protective U-profile (22) of an elastic material, on the edges (24) of an object, has two parallel and spaced side cheeks (26), a hand grip (25) and a roller mechanism (32) to press the profile in place. A lower unit (33) opens out the profile with a wedge (34) and a lower roller unit (37) guides the tool on the edges to be covered. The wide section of the wedge is attached to the side cheeks, and the narrow section is at a gap from the press roller which matches the thickness of the back of the profile. The end of the wedge lies on a tangent between the inner side of the profile back and the guide side of the lower roller guide unit.

    Abstract: The hand-held device (21) is used for applying protective profiles (22) made of flexible material and comprising a spine and two lips to edges (24) of objects (23) f or the purpose of protecting them. It comprises two side panels (26) that are mounted parallel to one another spaced at a fixed distance from one another, a handle (25), and above and between the side panels (21) [sic] on the protective profile outlet side a device (32) for guiding and pressing the protective profile (22) onto the edge (24), and below a device (33) in the form of a wedge element (34) for opening up the protective profile in the form of a wedge element (34), and underneath the wedge element (34) a device (37) with a guide surface for guiding the hand-held device (21) along the edge (24). The wedge element (34) has a wide section (35), which is fastened to the side panels (26), and a narrow section (36), which is positioned a certain distance from the device (32) for the purpose of guiding and pressing the protective profile (22), and which corresponds at a minimum to the thickness of the spine of th e protective profile (22). The wedge element (34) ends in front of the tangent that exten ds between the inner surface of the spine of the protective profile (22) and the guide surface of the device (37) for guiding the hand-held device (1) along the edge (24).
