Abstract: A capacitive transducer indicates the value of a physical quantity to be measured and is constructed with two spaced electrically conducting plates movable relative to one another in response to a mechanical signal representative of the physical quantity to be measured to generate an electrical signal in response thereto with the transducer capacitor being actuated and de-actuated to be respectively responsive and non-responsive to the mechanical signal in accordance with pre-designated time intervals. The electrical signal in accordance with the capacitance of the transducer capacitor is integrated to provide an output signal when the integrated signal exceeds a reference value.

Abstract: The invention relates to an optical measuring device for measuring physical or chemical quantities which device employs at least one light source, such as a light-emitting diode, in optical connection with a sensor, the spectral properties of which (e.g. the absorption or luminescence spectrum) are adapted to be changed by the quantity being measured, and at least one light detector (e.g. a photo-diode or a photo-transistor) for receiving the output signal from the sensor. The invention is characterized in that the measuring signal is adapted to be obtained by spectral analysis, and that this spectral analysis is adapted to be performed by varying the spectral distribution of the light source (the light-emitting diode) or maintaining said distribution constant, and/or by varying the sensitivity spectrum of the light detector or maintaining said spectrum constant, and that this control of the emission spectrum and the sensitivity spectrum is adapted to be carried out by a periodic controlling of the temperature of the light source and of the light detector, respectively.

Abstract: The core packet (6) consists of an iron core (7), a measurement winding (8), a load resistance (13) and an opto-electrical measurement value converter (12) which converts measurement values received over the load resistance to those digitised. A cable (14) with an optical conductor transmits the digitised measurement values to a control room. The rail system is formed as two coupling halves, screwable together, each with a flange part (1,2) and a shaft part (3,4). The core packet is concentrically moulded in a polymer material around the shaft part (3) on one coupling half, and is surrounded by a thin-walled metal screen (9) fastened to the flange part (1) of the half. In the first coupling half flange part (1), and facing towards the second coupling half, is a concentric cylindrical space (11) housing the opto-electronic measurement appts. (12). A space for housing the load resistance (13) is also provided in the first coupling half flange part which also has concentrically positioned, axially threaded holes (16) for the screws (15) which hold the coupling halves together.

Abstract: The fibre-optic measurement unit comprises an indicator (21) for monitoring the current in a high voltage conductor (10) in the installation, and an evaluation unit fitted on earth potential. At least one light-conducting fibre (25) connects the indicator and the evaluation unit. The capacitor voltage transformer (11) consists of a long, hollow insulator (13) in which is housed a capacitive voltage distributor fitted between the high voltage conductor and earth potential. The light-conducting fibre passes through the insulator via through holes (16,17) at the two ends of the voltage distributor, and in the area between the indicator and the upper end of the voltage distributor is provided with a casing in the form of a flexible metal hose (24) which provides the electrical connection between the high voltage conductor and the voltage distributor.
