    Abstract: The traction appts. is for electrical vehicles that are supplied with energy over a contact line(1) and that utilize a filter capacitor(5) to smooth the input current to a DC convertor that is used to energize a driving motor. A device avoids surges of filter capacitor charging current when the line voltage rises after a line voltage drop. A thyristor is used to pass current to the convertor when the line voltage remaines within a particular operational range and to block the flow of current to direct the current to a current limiting resistor when the line voltage begins to rise after a short duration or relatively longer duration voltage drop.

    Abstract: Cubicle doors for medium voltage switch gear are subjected to extreme stresses in the event of an arc fault. The invention relates to an arrangement for locking such a door 3 and for holding together the front of the switch gear cubicle 1. The door consists of a door plate 8 with hollow profile framework 7 and is hinged, for example, at its lower edge. In each of the side profiles of the door framework 7 there is a locking rail 12 which by means of an operating device 14, 15 can be moved up and down between a free position and a locked position. The operating devices of both the locking rails are connected to a handle 17 on the front of the door to move the locking rails simultaneously. There are "keyholes" 13 in the locking rails that lock behind the heads of a plurality of bolts 18 that are screwed into each cubicle end wall 10, 11.
