Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine the position/orientation by using a cordless device. SOLUTION: This system generating direction information is provided with a reflector, an image collection system, and a processor. The image collection system is configured to collect at least two sets of image data, and one set of image data has a stronger instruction of a reflector than the other set of image data. The two sets of image data are collected by using at least one reflector having some orientation-specific characteristics or a reflector integrated with a device having a structural property with some orientation-specific characteristics. After collecting the two sets of image data, orientation information about the reflector is generated by using these data.
