Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scanner that attains the scanning purpose refered to as 'degree of multiple analyses', by changing the total optical path of image data. SOLUTION: Image data acquired by scanning a document is introduced into a beam-refracting device to travel the image data into the beam-refracting device. After transmission of the image data is awaited, a final reflecting mirror unit receives and reflects the data, the image data pass through a lens unit and collected, then an optical element receives the image data. Thus, the angle or position of the member can be change, by adjusting at least the beam- refracting device or the final reflection mirror unit or simultaneously adjusting the scanning light source and the beam-refracting device, the total optical path of the image data is changed to obtain scanning effects in which various analysis degrees differ.
