Abstract: PURPOSE: To attain excellent photographic property without depositing precipitates in a stabilizing bath and without cleaning by incorporating a specific compound as a bleaching agent in a bleaching-fixing bath and a disinfectant, hydroxyethane diphosphonic acid(HEDP) and hexametaphosphate in the stabilizing bath. CONSTITUTION: The bleaching-fixing bath contains a compound expressed by formula, Fe(X)2 DTPA (X expresses an alkali or ammonium) and the stabilizing bath contains the disinfectant, hydroxyethane diphosphonic acid and hexametaphosphate. In such a case, the bleaching-fixing bath preferably contains 0.1-0.5mol/l bleaching agent. The stabilizing bath preferably contains 1×10 -5×10 mol/l disinfectant, 1×10 -5×10 mol/l HEDP and 5×10 -5×10 mol/l hexametaphosphate. As a result, excellent photographic property is attained without cleaning without depositing the precipitates in the stabilizing bath.
