Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates selecting an appropriate communication radio mode based on criteria. In one example process, the device detects a fingerprint using the integrated biometric sensor and, in accordance with a determination that the fingerprint is consistent with an enrolled fingerprint and a determination that a set of one or more criteria is met, transitions to a second short-range communication radio mode different from a first short-range communication radio mode. In another example process, the device detects a fingerprint using the integrated biometric sensor and, in accordance with a determination that the fingerprint is consistent with the enrolled fingerprint and a determination that the set of one or more criteria is not met, the device is unlocked.
