Abstract: In the printing of polyester/cellulose mixed fibre textiles with dispersion adn reactive dyes and fixing the dyes, opt. in the presence of alkali, the dye mixt. used contains low-mol. dispersion dyes (I), pref. with a mol. wt. of max. 450-500, in addn. to the usual reactive dyes (II) and fixing is carried out on a transfer printing calender, pref. for 30-60 secs. at 170-200 degrees C. The textile breadth pref. is allowed to run over the calender with a breadth of (unprinted) paper on the printed side. Prints with good fastness and high brilliance are obtd. by a process which can be controlled well and involves no special expenditure.

Abstract: Transfer printing is carried out with aminoanthraquinone dyes of formula (I): (in which phi is phenylene; X is H, Cl or 1-4C alkyl; and R is 1-4C alkyl, pref. R is Me and X is i-Pr, i- or t-Bu or esp. Me. (I) are esp. useful for printing polyester or polyester/cellulose mixed textiles and give prints with good fastness to wetting and light. In an example, (I: X=H; R=Me) gave a turquoise print on polyester textiles.
