Abstract: The polymeric material is used with a solvent which is partly compatible and partly incompatible with water so that when it is dispersed with water it develops a capsule wall which can be chemically cross-linked. Microcapsules of size 2-20 mu are formed which can easily be applied to a paper, to give typing copying paper without interleaved carbon sheets, which can be stored for long periods and at high temps. without loss of the encapsulated colourant fluid.
