Abstract: Process for continuously monitoring and controlling a chemical reactor (10) comprises using a control unit (12) which receives process-relevant parameters of the reactor, feeding calculations about the condition of the process into the reactor, and releasing control signals to the reactor depending on results of the calculations to control the process in the reactor. The calculations are produced using a calculating unit (14) assigned to the control unit and are tested and validated before the control signals are produced. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) Device for continuously monitoring and controlling a chemical reactor; (2) Computer program with a program code; (3) Computer program product with a computer-readable medium; and (4) Reactor control unit with a monitoring and control unit.
