Abstract: The invention relates to 2-substituted pyrimidines of the formula I in which the index n and these substituents R 1 , R 2 and R 3 are as defined in the description and R 4 is as defined below: R 4 corresponds to one of the formulae where R a is hydrogen, C 1 -C 6 -alkyl, C 2 -C 8 -alkenyl, C 2 -C 8 -alkynyl, C 3 -C 6 -cycloalkyl or C 1 -C 4 -alkoxy and R 5 is hydrogen, C 1 -C 6 -alkyl, C 2 -C 6 -alkenyl, C 2 -C 6 -alkynyl, C 1 -C 4 -alkyloxy-C 1 -C 2 -alkyl, phenyl-C 1 -C 2 -alkyl or phenyloxy-C 1 -C 2 -alkyl, to processes for preparing these compounds, to compositions comprising these compounds and to their use as pesticides.
