Abstract: Process for producing dry, free-flowing, choline chloride-containing powders by atomising an aqueous choline chloride solution, a colloid-free aqueous choline chloride solution being atomised in a counter-current airstream which contains, finely dispersed, a hydrophobic spraying aid added in amounts such that the sprayed choline chloride droplets are coated with 2 to 15% by weight, based on choline chloride calculated as 100%, and the coated particles, if required, are collected in a fluid bed and dried in the gas stream.
